Happy Black women in a GLP-1 support group inviting others to join.
A Safe Space for Healing, Truth, and Community

Join us for sisterhood and support

This group was created intentionally for Black women navigating the GLP-1 journey, because too often, our voices, experiences, and realities are missing from the conversations that shape our care.

Empowering Change with Dr. Vanessa Talley

What This Group Is About

This is more than a support group; it’s a community of connection, reflection, and empowerment.

Here, we come together to:

  • Share real, honest experiences—the good, the challenging, and everything in between
  • Talk openly about mental health, emotional eating, and identity shifts
  • Explore how GLP-1 medications impact our bodies, hormones, and overall well-being
  • Support one another through plateaus, changes, and personal growth
  • Dismantle stigma and replace it with understanding, compassion, and truth

Mental Health-Centered Support

Led by a psychotherapist, this group intentionally centers the emotional and psychological aspects of this journey.

Because this is not just about weight, it’s about:

  • How we cope
  • How we see ourselves
  • How we heal
  • And how we show up in our lives

Why This Space Matters

Black women often navigate:

  • Unique stressors and systemic barriers
  • Cultural relationships with food and body image
  • Limited representation in clinical trials and research

This group exists to ensure that we are:

  • Seen
  • Heard
  • Supported
  • And never alone in this process

Who This Is For

This group is for Black women who are:

  • On a GLP-1 medication journey
  • Considering starting
  • Seeking support and community
  • Interested in healing their relationship with food and their body

Our Commitment

We are committed to creating a space that is:

  • Safe
  • Non-judgmental
  • Confidential
  • Empowering

Join Us

This is your invitation to:

  • Share your story
  • Be supported
  • Learn and grow
  • And connect with women who truly understand

Because your journey matters.
Your voice matters.

You matter.

Together, we move from stigma to support, from silence to shared experience, and from isolation to community.
